2013 is a year of change, apparently.
With a new job, new place and one giant handful of random life reworks, it seems like as good a time as any to consciously introduce even more newness to this already exciting year. That said, welcome to my first ever Hotel Chronicles post. Staycations, vacations, work trips and conferences are booked. Flights have been purchased. Rooms reserved. Faraway friends notified. I hope you'll follow along.
To kick it off, Patrick and I stayed at
for his 30th birthday on January 8th. We made quite a week out of it and topped off the weekend with dinner at
, drinks at BB's Blues Jazz & Soups and breakfast in bed back at the hotel. Having recently had a less than pleasant experience at a famous Saint Louis hotel on New Year's Eve, Hyatt was another welcome change.
Four pair for one overnight stay... I'm indecisive.
We have a breakfast in bed addiction (seriously). Our room service was quick, enjoyable and full of extras like fruit and yogurt.
We were upgraded to a large suite and the double bathroom was phenomenal!
Little nooks are one of my favorite suite experiences.
Keeping it casual post 30th bithday celebration.
Can't wait to head back to
soon. Next, we'll be at The Cheshire for a long weekend, then in The Gem Hotel NYC (Midtown West) courtesy of her blogness, Megan of TFDiaries.com. Look out for those posts in February.
I'll leave you with a secret. If you're out in the city and you don't want to drive home (especially you county folk), Hyatt is usually the four star downtown that wins the $50 bid on Priceline. Worth every penny! (And if you're a county dweller, it's cheaper than a cab, plus someone will make you breakfast in the morning and bring it to your bed. Duh.)
P.S. If you're headed to
this March (which you should be...
), consider making a staycation out of it and snagging a hotel room at the
for a few days.
