Meet Bonfaire. Featuring Wine Women & Shoes

Last week, I was invited to attend Wine Women & Shoes, a St. Louis Area Foodbank benefit, on behalf of Bonfaire. Bonfaire is a new eCommerce platform that combines quality design with an underground vibe. While the site does feature well known designers like Zac Posen and Casadei, Bonfaire specializes in skilled young talents like Alessandro Dell'Acqua whose line No. 21 is gaining momentum, but not yet saturating every other jet-setting fashion blogger's closet. (Note the No. 21 style below is just $310 down from $775 on Bonfaire. You can get it here.)

Join Bonfaire here to shop their highly curated collection of pieces that you absolutely won't run into on your average Saturday night out. (If you're collecting key items for NYFW in September, Bonfaire is the place to start.) My images from the Wine Women Shoes event really don't do their inventory any justice, as nearly every woman who passed by the booth stopped to pick up one (or four) shoes, immediately turning to her friends with an expression of excitement that only shoes can truly influence.

After perusing the shoes, handbags and jewelry at the Bonfaire table, local blogger Holly Kern of Mint Julep 87 and I took advantage of the wine, cheese and cupcake tables sprinkled throughout the venue. We ran into Debra Bass, Fashion Editor of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and blogger Julia Christensen of Oh Julia Ann and staff writer at Ladue News. Both ladies were judging a shoe contest. We didn't stay for the award, but I can assure you that glitter platforms didn't take the cake.
